dc CLI

Import, export, back up, and restore your DJ library from the command line.

dc is the DEADCA7 command-line tool for working with music catalogs, Rekordbox libraries, and Pioneer USB libraries.

Start Here

  1. Install dc on macOS, Windows, or Linux.
  2. Authenticate to connect this computer to your cloud storage.
  3. Import and export a local library or USB.
  4. Back up and restore your catalog and audio.

Local import and export do not require an account. Authentication is needed for cloud backup and restore.

Preview, Then Apply

Import, export, backup, and restore show a plan by default. Review it, then repeat the command with --apply to make the changes:

dc import "/path/to/library"
dc import "/path/to/library" --apply

Your Local Catalog

By default, dc stores its catalog at ~/Music/DEADCA7/dbs/main.cdb, with managed audio under ~/Music/DEADCA7/tracks. On Windows, these paths are under your user home directory. Run dc to see the current catalog overview.

Use dc --home "/path/to/DEADCA7" ... to select a different application home.
